The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of organizations involved in the restoration and maintenance of historic parks in the regions of North-Eastern Lithuania and Latgale through modern and comprehensive land management provisions combining historical, natural and biodiversity values and aspects of the rural landscape.
The project envisages an inventory of biodiversity, greenery and individual trees in historical parks, economic assessment of ecosystem services, preparation of guidelines for the improvement and management of biodiversity and natural habitats, improvement of the condition and growth conditions of valuable tree elders growing in the 3 project areas. to organize 2 nature day events to disseminate good practice and experience.
The project is partly funded by 2014-2020. Interreg VA Latvian-Lithuanian Cross-Border Cooperation Program and the Republic of Lithuania.
