We invite you to participate in a survey about historic parks and their facilities  ecosystem services

Public Institution “Wetlands Restoration and Protection Fund”,  implementing the project of the Lithuanian-Latvian Interreg VA Latvian-Lithuanian cross-border co-operation program of the European Regional Development Fund “Preserve the past for the future LLI-476. Improving the ecological conditions of water bodies in Latvia and Lithuania ”(LLI-476 Save Past for the Future), together with project partners, conducts a public survey on the ecosystem services provided by historic * (manor) parks. Your answers will help to determine which ecosystem services visitors value the most, to assess their benefits and to identify the needs for park management and improvement.

* Historical park is an important element of the nation's historical environment, cultural heritage and anthropogenic landscape, reflecting the authenticity, accumulation of stylistic and artistic features characteristic of individual periods of artistic development.
 

Project "LLI-476 Save the Past for the Future"

2014-2020 Interreg VA Latvian-Lithuanian cross-border co-operation program

The total value of the project is EUR 1,030,848.12,

of which - co-financing of the European Regional Development Fund - 876 220.89 EUR.  

The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of organizations involved in the restoration and maintenance of historic parks in the regions of North-Eastern Lithuania and Latgale through modern and comprehensive land management provisions combining historical, natural and biodiversity values and aspects of the rural landscape.
